I don't have to return to work until next Wednesday.
The weekend begins early.
It has something to do with a giant rabbit, candy, eggs, tacky colors and zombies.
Really.

Jackass Quote of the Week
Hands down the fucking dumbest thing you will read all week...
"The (New York) Times continues to editorialize about the 'pedophilia crisis,' when all along it's been a homosexual crisis. Eighty percent of the victims of priestly sexual abuse are male and most of them are post-pubescent. While homosexuality does not cause predatory behavior, and most gay priests are not molesters, most of the molesters have been gay. Here's what's really going on. The Times has teamed up with Jeffrey Anderson, a radical lawyer who has made millions suing the Church (and greasing professional victims' groups like SNAP) so they can weaken its moral authority. Why? Because of issues like abortion, gay marriage, and women's ordination. That's what's really driving them mad and that's why they are on the hunt. Those who question this to be true need to ask why the debt-ridden Times does not spend the same resources in looking for dirt in other institutions that occurred a half-century ago. - Bill Donohue (Catholic League)
First he was pointing the finger at Jews ("hey, they molest kids too!"), and now he's painting the Catholic church as the victim.
He seems to be missing a major point here. Sure, molesters come in all varieties.....gay, straight, men, women, priests, teachers, truck drivers....whatever. But when you, as an organization or company, FIND OUT about the child raping that's occurring in your organization....and you not ONLY cover it up, but then send the rapist to another parish and fail to even INFORM that parish what the priest in question was moved for....and then the priest goes on to rape MORE children.....well, that's just fucking evil. Pure fucking evil.
Any and all attempts by the church, or their lapdogs, to scapegoat this issue and play the victim should be met with the disgust it deserves.

The War On Terrorism
Not sure exactly how racial profiling would have helped in this case....

“Nine members of a Michigan-based Christian militia group have been indicted on sedition and weapons charges in connection with an alleged plot to murder law enforcement officers in hopes of setting off an antigovernment uprising.”

Hutaree Website: Christian Militia Raided by FBI were "Preparing for the Anti-Christ"
ADRIAN, Michigan (CBS/AP) A Michigan Christian militia group called Hutaree was raided over the weekend as part of a three state, multiple raid action by the FBI, including raids in Ohio and Indiana.
According to a website purportedly run by the group, Hutaree.com, Hutaree are Christian "soldiers" who are arming themselves and training in anticipation of the coming of the Anti-Christ, which they believe is imminent.
A quote from the website reads: "Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment."

Seems like just yesterday I had snow up to my knees and was digging my poor car out from under a mountain of fluff.

Poetry
Just saw this headline on our local news website....
Former Wheeling Car Dealership Converted Into Church
There is just something about that headline that makes me chuckle....
I'm thinking the former car salesmen could transition rather effortlessly into preachers.

Turning the Failsafe Key in the Hatch
I seem to have picked up a virus/trojan/malware/disease whatever.
Windows has decided that to continue I will need to do a complete reinstall. From scratch.
I conservatively predict this will consume 6 to 9 hours of my life.
Wonderful.
You kids have fun.
