"Dude, you have no Quran"

Although there is a large part of me that doesn't understand people getting passionately upset about the burning of meaningless paper.....this story made me laugh big time. Looks like a nice group of folks getting together to protest some blatant racism.

And as far as rallying cries go....it's hard to beat "Dude, you have no Quran"

OK, burning books is a bad idea and no one should do it. However, I place the Koran, in terms of morality, far below my X-Men comics.

If anything the skateboarder stole someone else's property and that's breaking the law. The religious loon was (the one that was going to burn the Koran) wasn't breaking any law.

This was a great story. I just imagine this stoner zooming in on his skateboard - "Dude, you have no Quran" goes with "Machete don't text" as September's best catch phrases.

here's where we disagree lemmy. i don't think ANY book is meaningless paper even if i think the book is SHITE (which i think MANY are). books are sacred. perhaps i read fahrenheit 451 when i was too young, i don't know but it helped shape me. it pains me when someone burns a book. (although it's not my absolute #1 favorite book in the universe-oh, it's close, i'd choose to become alice in wonderland/through the looking glass if we lived in the time of 451.)

I love my books as much as the next nerd....I also love my DVD's, CD's, and other forms of entertainment and education....It just seems to me that if people ignored the 'pay attention to me' attitude of goofballs like this pastor and others that tried to burn the books, things would play out much differently.

It's the media's fault who pay attention to these nuts - The Daily Show got it right yesterday when they said that all it takes is a 'squirrel' and everyone's attention is focussed on the circus - 'bread and circuses, my friend, break and circuses'.
