Jackass Quote Of The Week

"I am a firm believer in intelligent design as a matter of faith and intellect, and I believe it should be presented in schools alongside the theories of evolution. The State Board of Education has been charged with the task of adopting curriculum requirements for Texas public schools and recently adopted guidelines that call for the examination of all sides of a scientific theory, which will encourage critical thinking in our students, an essential learning skill."
- Texas Governor Rick Perry

Intelligent Design is not science. It's not even close to science.

Intelligent Design looks at the mysteries and beauty of the universe and says "The Sky Fairy did it".

I blame Prof Grewbeard and Bluberry. (sarcasm)

LOL. You two were the first two Texans that came to mind. Figure I'd lay the blame.

Even in Ohio that sounds backwards. No, not just "sounds."

Anyone who spouts such logorrhea is obviously not just horribly incapable of reason and ignorant of what constitutes science, but is willing to substitute empiricism with what is no more than "cause day said so ovar n ovar, dat's whyee." - Texas Governor Rick Perry

Wasn't there this other Texas Governor...sorry, the name escapes me. Something about illegal wars, killing Americans, drug addict, Jesus freak.

I suddenly feel as though Ohio is a comforting blanket, even in this corner of Cincinnati where the conservatives keep pulling it off to their side.

So....basically they want to teach the "theories" of evolution...and then teach "critical thinking" so the students will question and hopefully discount what they've just taught them...in favor of...yeah.

I live near the Creation Museum and when they were building it they used only believers on construction (mostly Asian for some reason) and I engaged one gentleman in a discussion. I asked him how exactly they accounted for dinosaurs. He said that perhaps God never created dinosaurs at all but rather just dinosaur BONES... Makes ya think, doesn't it? Makes ya think WHAT WAS HE THINKING!!??

I take it you are not attending Governor Goodhair's men-only fundraiser for $15,000 a person? No?? I'm sure they want to discuss the Biblical inferiority of women... or the wrongness of masturbation...or something. Plenty of sausage to go around.

Maybe they can all go hunting with Dick Cheney afterwards (while the women tidy up the place).
