And what if I use my waffles in a sexually immoral way?

If the "churches of Christ" are going to quote the word of God, you'd think they'd do the courtesy of not changing them.

The King James version puts it this way: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

So, "unrighteous", not "sexually immoral".

Sure, the next words go on about sex (fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, etc.), but they also deal with thieves, the covetous, drunkards, revilers and extortioners. Why not pick on them, too?

Good point Brian.

I would also argue that changing god's words in the bible is as traditionally 'christian' as it gets. ALL the words have been changed. Over and over and over again.

“For most people, the Bible is a non-problematic book. What people don't realize is that they're reading translations of texts, and we don't have the originals.” - Bart Ehrman

not only do we not have the originals, the translations are specific to the time, culture and political intent of the translator.

don't believe everything you read!
