You need to take a pic of what it looks like from the same perspective. Can you see the steeple still? I love those old neighborhoods. They had real style and character back in the day.
Hi LC! It's been awhile. WOW! Steubenville back in the early days. It was wonderful back in the sixties and seventies too. So busy downtown that they had to put in an X crosswalk due to all the pedestrians. Let's invent a time machine and go back! FYI: I am part of the Toronto Coalition for Revitalization and we are holding a public forum. County Commissioner Tom Graham (my cousin) and speakers from Heritage Ohio and the Washington, Pa. CDC will be speaking. It's at Karaffa Middle School on Dennis Way; Wed., Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

this is what my town center used to look like too.
also unrecognizable today
Yea, I wish the US clutched on to their building the way Italians do. It brings so much soul to a place.
That must have been what it was like in Dino Crocetti's day.
Looks like there was a trolley.
