Jackass Quote of the Week
"By idolizing adolescence, we have artificially prolonged the age at which people enter in marriage. The average is now, according to 2007 figures, about 27.5 years for men and 25.6 for women. But the young men and women whom God has created become sexually mature by their mid-teens. The bodies that God has created are ready for sexual intimacy by the time they are 16. Unless God has made a mistake in the way he has designed our sexuality, then we need to rethink our whole understanding of the optimum age for entering into marriage." - Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association

Message decoded: "Girls should be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen as soon as they have their first period. Sixteen! No way -- they're old maids by then. But boys shouldn't marry too young because we don't want them to have to shoulder any responsibility before they're established in careers."
Oooooorrrr we could rethink the idea that sexuality may only take place inside a prematurly made marriage that'll end up with both participants unhappy in at least 50% of all cases... but... nah, let's just all get married with 14!
no jokes, no nothing. i'm dumbfounded.
equating "ready for sex" with "ready for a committed relationship" makes my head spin. and head spinning makes me vomit.
My wife suspects Mr Fischer must be banging a 16 year old. My wife is over 16, though so I guess our marriage is an insult to God.
