It's your chance to greatly insult someone you don't like in your workplace, the day before.

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO BE SAVED

To be saved, you must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31).

However, that's not all. Sacred Scripture clearly shows other things you must also do to be saved:

You must endure to the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13.

You must accept the Cross (suffering). Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24-25, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27.

You must be baptized with water. Mark 16:16, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21.

You must be a member in God's true church. Acts 2:47.

You must confess your sins. James 5:16, I John 1:9.

You must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21.

You must heed the words of St. Peter, the first Pope. Acts 11:13-14, Acts 15:7.

You must eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ. John 6:51-58, I Corinthians 10:16, I Corinthians 11:23-29.

Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to His call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life. CCC 1996, John 1:12-18, John 17:3, Romans 8:14-17, 2 Peter 1:3-4.

The only Church that meets all the requirements of Salvation is the Holy Catholic Church.

So just to make sure I have this correct....the ONE TRUE CHURCH is the one that shelters and protects adults who rape children?

Gotcha.

Thanks for passing that along. Ass.

Dear Lemmy,
I felt some pain reading your DIATRIBE; I imagine you were RAGING over your fear, pain & shame.

Your PROCESS is not about the Catholic Church, but UNRESOLVED ISSUES from your childhood.

Were you ABUSED as a child, Lemmy?

What diatribe? The closest thing in these comments to a diatribe is your LENGTHY post of all of those silly verses.

That's quite an imagination you have there. Of course, it would have to be to bui into talking animals, unicorns, virgin births, and zombies.

.

No.

In fact, I had quite an enjoyale childhood.

What happened to you in your childhood to make you abandon all logic, reason, and common sense?

Why do you ask?

Why do you ask?

Why not?

You made assumptions about me and saw fit to ask. Figured I would return in kind.

Dear Mr Caution,
Never assume, you'll just make and ass out of you and me.

To Mr. Gormley: I would first like to preface this comment by stating that my questions are borne of true intellectual curiosity, and not of a desire to antagonize. To that end, I feel that full disclosure is in order: I am PERSONALLY acquainted with Lemmy; in fact, we are quite close and I know that he wasn't abused as a child and is, perhaps, one of the most well-adjusted, happy-with-life individuals I have ever met; indeed, I envy that about him. On to my question: Your final Bible passage contains a few elements which intrigue me and about which I would like further clarification; I'm more than willing to admit that context may be an issue here. The verse begins: "Our justification..." Justification for what? And, further in: "...undeserved help..." Why, indeed, is it undeserved? I mean...at times, we are made to believe that we are created in his (or His) image; so why, then, are we undeserving?

I HONESTLY apologize if any of this comes across as antagonistic. I am truly seeking edification and since you are the one who put these verses forth, then I am going to assume that you possess a greater depth of understanding than do I. Thank you.

PS: Perhaps I should further explain that I was raised in the Catholic church, and still love aspects of my religion. I am NOT an atheist, either. But...I am always, ALWAYS open to enlightenment. Convince me.
