Save The Date 2.0

Second time we've seen this date now.

These people obviously have some insider information.

Which makes me hope somebody in Homeland Security is attending their worship services.

Off Season Heat

I miss hockey.

Only a couple more months of this dark time known as summer.

Fantastic quote today from Pens superstar Maxine Talbot....

“I just hate the guy … Malkin knew Ovechkin and introduced me to him and the first impression wasn’t great. I’m not really gonna say what happened but I’m like, ‘OK, this guy is a real douche.’”

On New Years Day Talbot will be on the ice against Ovechkin. The annual Winter Classic will be held outside at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field. Good times.

Fla. church organizing Sept. 11 burning of Quran
By Brittny Krause July 28, 2010

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A Gainesville church known for intolerance is planning a Quran-burning ceremony on Sept. 11.

The Dove World Outreach Center is using its website and social-networking sites like Facebook to promote the event. Organizers plan to burn the Islamic holy text on church grounds.

In response, the Council on American-Islamic Relations is asking Muslims that day to invite friends and acquaintances to share educational, fast-ending Ramadan meals and distribute copies of the Quran.

The Gainesville church, which also campaigns against homosexuality, made headlines last year after distributing T-shirts that say ``Islam is of the Devil.''

Pastor Shows Serious Interest In Men's Underwear

Underwear packaging reportedly recalled from Walmart after Cullman pastor’s complaint

By Trent Moore
The Cullman Times

CULLMAN — A local pastor’s complaint about a brand of underwear being sold with “pornographic” pictures on the packaging at the Cullman Walmart reportedly led to a recall of the product.

Frank Boren, pastor of New Hope Christian Center Church of God in the Springhill community, said he noticed the questionable underwear package while shopping at the store in May.

“I was in there shopping for some underwear one day, and looked at the men’s pictures on the packaging,” he said. “On a few of the packages they were very pornographic in the way they were dressed, in skimpy underwear, so I went to the manager and asked her if she thought it was inappropriate to be displayed.”

40 Days of Derp

These two chowderheads are yammering about fasting for 40 days and signing some document they scawled together using crayons and a napkin from the local gay bar. They want candidates elected who will stand up for their version of 'morality'.

I love how the tubby one relates their document to something holy "like the bible or the constitution". Huh? Have either of these two assclowns read the constitution? I'm guessing no.

Jackass Quote 2.0

Good gravy, I hate this lying, vacuous, festering assclown.....

The people who have been laid off and cannot find work are generally people with poor work habits and poor personalities. I say “generally” because there are exceptions. But in general, as I survey the ranks of those who are unemployed, I see people who have overbearing and unpleasant personalities and/or who do not know how to do a day’s work. They are people who create either little utility or negative utility on the job. Again, there are powerful exceptions and I know some, but when employers are looking to lay off, they lay off the least productive or the most negative. To assure that a worker is not one of them, he should learn how to work and how to get along — not always easy. - Ben Stein

I work with unemployed folks every day. I would love to see Ben tell this to some of the thousands of unemployed steelworkers in this area.

Seinfeld Trailer - "Serenity Now" RE-CUT

Vatican Rules

How seriously does the vatican take the idea that a WOMAN could do a priest's job? How about child rape serious.....

VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican on Thursday declared the attempted ordination of women a "grave crime" subject to the same set of procedures and punishments meted out for sex abuse.

It was just one element in a revised set of in-house rules issued on how to respond to clerical sex abuse, targeting priests who molest the mentally disabled as well as children and priests who use child pornography. Overall, they made few substantive changes to existing practice.

The new rules make no mention of the need for bishops to report clerical sex abuse to police, provide no canonical sanctions for bishops who cover up for abusers and do not include any "one-strike and you're out" policy for pedophile priests as demanded by some victims.

Jackass Quote of the Week

"I would like to preserve what we have before it gets totally out of control, the more it becomes non-white, the more it's going to become a much different place to live, for white people especially. I would ask you about your version of racist, the word does not have a specific definition. If someone says, 'You seem to hate people who aren't white,'
I say no, so I can't really be a racist, because I don't hate them. I just don't want to live around areas that are heavily, predominantly non-white."

Ground Zero Mosque

Interesting to say the least...

From Bob Cesca via Little Green Footballs......

It should be pointed out (again) that the “Ground Zero mosque” these idiots are ranting about is actually a proposed community center with an auditorium, swimming pool, and restaurants, in addition to a mosque. It would be housed in an existing 13-story building that’s two blocks away from Ground Zero and has no view of the area; there are two very big buildings in between the proposed community center and Ground Zero. Here is an embedded Google Map in which you can clearly see that the idea of this being a “Ground Zero mosque” is a ridiculous paranoid fantasy.

Can't imagine why anyone would accuse the Tea Party of racism.

That's only being said because they disagree with Obama on policy, right?

They really just want the government to get out of our lives.

Unless you are pregnant. Or gay. Or brown.

"The animals of allah for whom any day is a great day for a massacre are drooling over the positive response that they are getting from New York City officials over a proposal to build a 13 story monument to the 9/11 Muslims who hijacked those 4 airliners. The monument would consist of a Mosque for the worship of the terrorists' monkey-god and a "cultural center" to propagandize for the extermination of all things not approved by their cult." - Tea Party Express spokesperson Mark Williams

Local Priest, Former WJU Professor Charged With Sexually Battering 11-Year-Old Girl

A Catholic priest who was a faculty member at Wheeling Jesuit University and who served as an associate pastor at St. Paul Parish in Weirton was arrested on sex charges last week.

The Rev. Felix Owino, a priest in the Religious Missionary Institute of the Apostles of Jesus, is charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery stemming from an alleged incident involving a child in Fairfax, Va.

Owino served as associate pastor at St. Paul’s in Weirton, providing coverage of parish Masses, and, until last month, he was a faculty member in the philosophy department of WJU. University officials said in a news release that Owino has no current responsibilities at the university and is not expected to return to campus.

"Owino is not a member of the Jesuit order and was on summer break from his teaching duties at the time of the incident. During his two years at Wheeling Jesuit, the campus authorities received no student complaints about his conduct," the news release stated.

Jackass Quote of the Week

"Does this federal judge want to start another culture war? Does he really want another Roe. v. Wade? The simple fact is that the right of the federal government to define marriage for the purposes of its federal law and federal territories has been clear since the late 19th century, when Congress banned polygamy. Only an incompetent defense could have lost this case. We expect to win in a higher court." - Maggie Gallagher, Chairman of NOM.

Giving women the right to decide what happens with their own bodies was a mistake that started a culture war? Maggie is a batshit insane assclown whose deep hatred for homosexuals is disturbing....and curious.

Catholic Church Won't Cover This One Up...

Why should they?

For once, no children were raped in the making of this story....

The Rev. Kevin J. Gray, 64, was charged with first-degree larceny. Police said he used church funds to pay for hotels, restaurant meals, clothing and male escorts. Father Gray turned himself in to authorities Tuesday morning and was to be arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court.

Waterbury police launched an investigation after the archdiocese came to them May 27 and said it had uncovered unauthorized payments from church funds to accounts held by Father Gray and other suspicious transactions, according to the affidavit.

Father Gray wrote checks to himself, paid off his American Express bills, allowed two men to have credit cards in their names on his account and paid for various other expenses -- including tuition to Harvard and rent in New York City for a man he met in Central Park -- using the church's bank account, the document states.

Who are we to argue with Prince.

He's fucking Prince.

If he says it, it must be so.

"The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it.

The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.

They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."
