This is very well said, indeed. I'm so glad to have this happen in Maine. We are now MA (my home state), CT, Vermont and Maine.
Still heartbroken about CA, where my daughter got married just before prop 8 passed.
But the poignant story of the speaker of the house who had her ceremony performed by a man who was not afforded the same right because he is gay is very compelling. I may just borrow this, if I could.
