Poll

More than half of people who attend services at least once a week – 54 percent – said the use of torture against suspected terrorists is “often” or “sometimes” justified. Only 42 percent of people who “seldom or never” go to services agreed, according to the analysis released Wednesday by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life.

White evangelical Protestants were the religious group most likely to say torture is often or sometimes justified – more than six in 10 supported it. People unaffiliated with any religious organization were least likely to back it. Only four in 10 of them did.

From a Pew Research Center survey conducted last week.

Hopefully when jesus comes back to reclaim his faithful and take them into the sky, he doesn't have important information he refuses to speak about. Or else it's Mel Gibson time all over again....

I wish the news media would stop showing the water boarding video over and over again. It might give the staff at the homeless shelter one more idea of how to punish its residents for missing curfew. They already implement sleep deprivation as punishment.

Amazing. But not really. I knew I didn't like religious institutions for a valid reason. This is just supporting data.

I see why themom gave you an award. You have a great blog here!
