Christian love and compassion

Not only does this jackass support the murder of doctors, he comes right out at the beginning of the interview and support praying for Obama's death as well.

This is Christian compassion and love. This is also the core reason that the Republican party is gasping for air. As long as the part coddles and supports crazed religious lunatics like this gentlemen, they are doomed.

Just because someone claims to be a Christian, does not mean that their actions are Christian. Praying for the death of ANYONE is not what Christianity teaches. You can't make the claim that this is Christian compassion and love, because it's the exact opposite.

Also, I'm a pretty right-wing winger, as you know, and I haven't seen anyone coddling religious lunatics. We mostly want them to shut up. The Republican party is gasping for air because it drifted too far from it's conservative principles. But that's another story...

Yet, they always seem to claim their crazy actions are done BECAUSE they are Christian.

Using your logic, the Crusades weren't a Christian event.

You can't have it both ways....the good comes with the (disturbingly large amount) of bad.

Yes, some people claim their actions are Christian even when they're not, that's true.

If a Muslim doesn't observe Ramadan, he's acting against Muslim teachings. We can look up Muslim teachings and compare them with his actions and know this.

Same thing with a Catholic's actions. We can look up what Catholic teaching is about adultery, and then compare the actions of a Catholic to see if he/she is behaving according to Catholic teaching.

I'm not saying you have to BELIEVE what Christians are saying, I'm just pointing out that certain behaviors by Christians can be labeled anti-Christian.

Don't be so intellectually lazy, young man! ;)

There is a big gray area there considering the people in charge of telling you "the rules" of Catholic teaching make a living out of breaking them in the most horrible ways imaginable.

Labeled by who?
