dave has always been a forerunner with musical guests (i mean as far as MAIN stream late night tv is concerned)
any band with soprano sax, alto sax and i believe they also had the baritone (but i couldn't swear by it) is ok in my book (unless your name is kenny g)
that was VERY reminiscent of both massive attack and portishead. both of whom i like.
when i say reminiscent i don't mean copying. i mean rather in the same vein. SORT of but not really. anyway, thanks for posting this. i haven't been keeping up watching my letterman clips online

I've never heard Massive Attack or Portisehead. Damn!
Dave is the man. I can't stand a single second of Leno (athough, to be fair, I rarely watch either of them).
Some of this song reminded me of the very very first Talking Heads album. And that is a huge compliment.
i am REPULSED by conan and i just plain HATE leno.
dave be da man. hell though, i remember when jon stewart had a talk show (yes, he did)
i'll post my favorite portishead video if i can find it. massive attack too. although i think i've posted 'em both before.
