Thriller

Yeah, I owned a copy.

You probably did too.

Big shock. He was weird but you can't deny he was talented.

DID own??!! Still do... And still have the turntable on which to play it, although I haven't in years.... Will now, in tribute. Every time my kids hear an early song of his, they always ask if it's a boy or a girl singing.... Funny and sad.... Details surrounding the cause will be interesting as they emerge....

I think he was an extremely talented guy with a tragic life and I mourn his passing, but I wonder why his history of child molestation doesn't earn him the same kind of scorn from those who are so willing to denounce all priests?

.

It did. Maybe you missed the news for the past 20 years or so.

Sure, he still has tons of fans who ignored what he was accused of.

Just like the church!

I need to get another copy of that album.

What a sad life Mr. Jackson had. Accusations of abuse aside the guy was seriously messed up and I can't help but wonder if all of us aren't a little responsible for that.

He was acquitted of all charges due to holes in the testimony of the parents of "victims".

A friend pointed out that it is much easier to just pay restitution rather than go through a lengthy court battle. She is a case manager in the office for child support in another county.

And I do find it odd that so many parents 'entrusted' a supposed child molester with the care of their children unless they felt they could possible prosper later.

The price of celebrity.
