Oh, good! Then you'll like what James has to say about this:
What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?
If a brother or sister is ill-clad and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit?
So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. But some one will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith.
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe -- and shudder.
(That's from James 2:15-19. And he says more, if you're interested: http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/r/rsv/rsv-idx?type=DIV1&byte=5475493 )
You're funny. :) You always come up with all sorts of reasons why the person who said something is crazy so you don't have to respond to what they actually said.
So how about this: I pray, but I know that I must also spend my days doing good works, and most Christians I know believe the same thing. So am I high octane crazy too?
I work close by....so I MIGHT be able to wander out and see this big collective of whining. I completely disagree with the entire thing, and find it more than a little silly (mostly because you all are carrying on about things that 'your party' put into place).
But I may have to wander out just to see what there is to see and smile at it all.

Did you make this chart? Pretty darn right on!
No, I didn't make it....and I am fogged over as to where I stole it from!
Loving this one too!

That would be the same "James" that believes Abraham was justified in his intentions to murder his own son in cold blood because "god told him to".
He also wrote that every animal on the planet had been tamed by man...and that people should only pray to get better when they are sick.
No thanks, that's some high octane crazy there.

(Oh, wait. You read my blog.)
By 'doing good works' and 'praying' at the same time, you are both doing something and nothing.
So it more or less evens out in the end.
You are right, I am funny and I do come up with all sorts of reasons why the person who said something is crazy. Thanks!
So, when are we meeting for coffee? Angela and I ready when you are.
Have an enjoyable weekend! I will be doing a whole lot of nothing, as it is Easter, you know.
Maybe I will bring you a steaming cup of joe when you are parading around in front of the courthouse.
:-)
I was hoping to see you there. ;) I'm the one on crutches, BTW.
