Having been homeless in Cleveland, of course I must comment... Many homeless people I met detest panhandlers - at the least the aggressive ones. I learned that the ones with signs are usually unaware of meal sites and where to get free stuff. People that really need the help will thank you for any generosity and if they are short of what they need for the cup of coffee or bus fare they are specific - it's usually an odd amount they ask for like 37 cents. I offer help or offer to take them for a meal. If they are in true need and not scamming they will accept. I like this guy's originality and would probably give him a buck after I have had conversation with him. I met a lot of amazing people on the streets.
