Say WHAT ?

The whackadoos at Answers In Genesis have produced a short video making some kind of point that seems to do with children shooting you in the face because you don't believe in their god. Or something. What would Jesus do indeed!! Wow.

It's going to come to that soon. They already think it's okay to kill doctors who perform abortions, so the next logical step is to kill us atheists.

I have no idea what point this group is trying to make. Poorly done.

And, Dr. Monkey, I like you're name, but I think you've been mislead. There are, and probably always will be, a few wackos out there who might think killing is the answer, but having been a pro-life advocate my entire life, I can personally testify that I have never met a single one of them. They never speak at pro-life conventions, write in mainstream pro-life or Christian publications, etc.

Killing abortionists has NEVER even discussed as an option anywhere I have even been, or in anything I have ever read, and I have immersed myself in the movement.

One thing you have to understand is that the movement is not simply about saving babies--it's also about saving souls. So, it wouldn't make sense for people who strongly believe that murder is a sin, to advocate putting their own souls at risk by committing a murder.

Here's a good place to get the pulse of what's going on in the pro-life movement, if you want a more accurate picture of how we think.

So, therefore, you need not worry that people who are sincerely trying to protect life at all stages (the unborn, the infirm, the elderly) are desiring to kill you.

Justine has a point that not all pro-life advocates feel that it is morally justifiable to murder abortion doctors. The always awesome Christopher Hitchens comes to mind.

Regardless.....this advertisement is frightening and disgusting to say the least......and it does represent a popular evangelical viewpoint.

Yes, but did you see all the typos in my post? Clearly, I am not to be trusted.
