2 Year Old Girl Answering Questions About Islam! [Must See!]

More sick indoctrination.

Children ARE NOT born with a religion. They can't be, because it's completely man made.....not to mention extremely harmful.

Not defending Islam here, but your logic is a bit off.

You cannot use "religion is completely man made" as proof that children are not born with religion because religion being man-made is an assumption you have made, not a fact that you can prove.

A fact that can be proved is, since the dawn of time, men have felt the need for religion and believed in a power greater than themselves.

Throughout history, men have also sought water, and we now know this is because they need water to live. Don't you think we can draw a similar scientific conclusion to man's consistent search for meaning in life?

We don't have to prove children aren't born with a religion. It's an obvious as the nose on your face fact.

Are children born Republican? Are they born Democrat? Are they born racist? Are they born Communist?

No. Because these things are beliefs, not facts.

They also aren't born Christian, Scientologist, Hindu, or Muslim. It's taught to them. You know that.

Saying that human beings have always created religions as an explanation for things they don't understand is not proof of anything other than there have always been questions we have longed to answer.

Throughout history, men have also sought water, and we now know this is because they need water to live. Don't you think we can draw a similar scientific conclusion to man's consistent search for meaning in life?

Absolutely not. Water is necessary to sustain life. Religion is not.

It is also a fact that not everybody has searched for a meaning in life as you put it. Some are perfectly happy with the life they have.

I didn't say "every single person" has searched for meaning, but the search for meaning has been a common thread running through every civilization in every generation that ever existed. This fact cannot be ignored simply because you, personally, do not believe in God.

Overall it can be concluded there is something inherent in the nature of man that drives him to make sense of his life by asking, "Why am I here? Where am I going? What is my purpose?"

I propose to you that as water is necessary to sustain our physical bodies which will ultimately die, religion is necessary to sustain our souls for eternal life. Whether or not men identify this need for what it truly is, it is the source of the restlessness that drives them to seek meaning in life, and it was written on their hearts by their Creator.

So you "give" on the children being born of a theology? Nice.

The rest is just you asserting that people yearn to know 'something, so that must mena there is 'something.

Nope.

See today's 'call it god' cartoon for a fine example of this thinking in action.

You're sounding a little sarcastic, so I'm going to pretend to pout and be offended because it's my birthday and you're supposed to treat me like a princess today.

Good night!

Sarcastic....moi!!?

Seriously though...
A big Happy Birthday to ya!
Hope it was a great one!

It was lovely, thank you. And until my next birthday I am going to have a lot of fun quoting the Holy Grail by saying in my best British accent, "I'm thirty-SEVEN, I'm not OLD!" After that, I'll have nothing to live for.

Now where was I...oh, yes: Did I say that children were born with a particular theology, or did I say that religion is not man-made? (You scroll and check, I'm too lazy.)

You lumped politics with religion, but there is an important distinction between the two. Politics deals with deciding how state and city affairs should best be ordered, and is always man-made. Religion deals with discovering the truth of how life is already ordered by it's creator. (I'm not sure if I've expressed that clearly, but there is chaos in the background right now.) Obviously, religious beliefs can influence political thought.

"God-made religion" is simply the revelation of what is true about the nature God and our relationship to him. So, the Jewish faith was what was truth until Jesus came and intituted a new covenant with his people--what we now call Catholic faith. I agree that "Man-made religions" DO exist.

Must run...

Well yes, there is a difference between religion and politics (obviously).

The point is that they are both BELIEFS. Children are not born with a belief. It is taught. That's why the two year old in the video is saying what she is saying. She was taught.....much like you and I both were really.

So, the Jewish faith was what was truth until Jesus came and instituted a new covenant with his people--what we now call Catholic faith.

There were many religions created before the Jewish faith. It wasn’t the start of anything original. Almost every aspect of Judaism and Christianity can be found in the ancient religions of Egypt. Same product, new name.

The Jewish faith claims the first people, Adam and Eve.

Lemmy Caution said...

The Egyptians predate the Jews, The Mesopotamians predate them, the Chinese predate them...and on and on and on.

The "story" of the first man and woman (no matter what they are named) is as old as the written word.

Adam and Eve are just one of thousands of fables.

Well, we'll find out someday who was right and who was wrong, won't we? Till then, let's just agree to disagree.

OK, but since it's my blog, I win.
