Have you ever bothered to ask God if he really exists, or have you just always assumed he doesn't? Just curious.

I was born and raised (but never baptized because the church I attended did not baptize babies) as a Christian. I attended Church three times a week from as young as I can remember to about the age of 16.

Ask is exactly what I did.

I asked questions. Why was I brought up to believe this story? What historical evidence supports it? Why if this is "the answer", are there thousands of others who are just as convinced (if not more so) that they are right and I am wrong? ...and on and on and on.

Once I was able to access a library, read, research, and reason objectively...I ceased to be one.

There is not a single solitary bit of sense or reason to the entire concept. In fact, my opinion would be that religion does (and has done) much more harm than good.

Thanks for the insight into your life. That answers my question.

Have a great weekend. I'm going away--to Notre Dame of all places--but for a half marathon, not a protest. This time. :)

1 hour, 51 minutes.

(I knew you were dying to hear my time.)

Good job. Imagine how much faster you would have done without lugging around that sign! ;-p

Ha! No sign, but I did wear a t-shirt that said "Choose Life." Couldn't pass up that opportunity.

I seem to remember Gerorge Michael in the band WHAT wearing that same shirt in a video once. ;-)
